Zephyrhills, Florida
Zephyrhills blends small-city convenience with a semi-rural feel. Known as the Friendly City and the City of Pure Water, this Pasco County community sits in the eastern part of the county, northeast of Tampa and within day-trip range of Gulf Coast beaches and many Orlando-area attractions. The community was first called Abbott and later Abbott Station after the railroad arrived. It was renamed Zephyrhills in 1910 and incorporated in 1914.

About the Community
Zephyrhills is known for open skies, gently rolling terrain, and a longstanding connection to ranch land, agriculture, and Florida’s spring-water industry. Today, the city combines historic blocks, retirement communities, newer neighborhoods, shopping corridors, and parks. It offers a quieter pace than the major metro areas while still providing everyday services, local dining, and easy access to recreation.

Located near U.S. 301 and other regional routes, Zephyrhills is a practical base for exploring west-central Florida. Tampa Bay sports, concerts, and museums are within driving distance, and major destinations such as Walt Disney World Resort and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay are popular day trips. Beach time is also possible from here, with Gulf Coast destinations reachable depending on traffic and which shoreline you choose.
Local parks help round out the city experience. Places such as Krusen Park provide athletic fields, open space, and community recreation, while nearby shopping areas and everyday services make Zephyrhills convenient for both visitors and residents.
