Gulf Breeze, Florida
Gulf Breeze sits on the Fairpoint Peninsula in Santa Rosa County, between Pensacola Bay and Santa Rosa Sound, just minutes from Pensacola Beach. With a mild climate, nearby sugar-white beaches, and an easygoing waterfront atmosphere, Gulf Breeze blends coastal scenery with small-town hospitality.

About The Community
Covering about five square miles, Gulf Breeze combines modern services with a relaxed residential character. The city is connected to the City of Pensacola to the north by the Pensacola Bay Bridge and to Pensacola Beach on Santa Rosa Island by the Bob Sikes Bridge across Santa Rosa Sound.

The original wooden bridges built in 1931 later became popular fishing piers and were eventually replaced by modern concrete spans. Gulf Breeze traces its name to the Gulf Breeze Cottages and Store, which opened a post office branch in 1936 and stood near the present-day Live Oaks Plaza and Beach Road Plaza. The community grew after the opening of the bay bridge in 1960 and was incorporated in 1961. Today, this waterfront community remains a favorite for boaters, anglers, beachgoers, and anyone who enjoys life near the water.
