About the Community
The City of Callaway sits in eastern Bay County, adjoining Panama City and within the greater Panama City area of Northwest Florida. Originally incorporated in 1936 and later reactivated in 1959, Callaway preserves part of its local story at John B. Gore Park, where the former one-room schoolhouse and the Ellie Fox Memorial Museum help interpret early community life. The park area also includes the Callaway Community Center, picnic areas, tennis courts, and a public boat ramp with floating docks for access toward East Bay.
