This city of about 11 square miles with single family homes, town houses and condos is considered to be one the most progressive and environment friendly cities in the area.
About The Community
Coconut Creek located in South Florida is a city in Broward County, in the Miami–Fort Lauderdale metro area and is about 20 minutes northwest of Fort Lauderdale. This beautifully planned and professionally landscaped neighborhood was incorporated in 1967. There is a large retirement community in Coconut Creek, people who first came just to visit this charming and friendly place which then decided to live there permanently. There are excellent schools in Coconut Creek, the public schools being administered by the Broward County Public School District, which is the largest fully-accredited school district in the United States. Higher education is taken care of at the Broward Community College.

Coconut Creek’s tropical climate and the environment of well-maintained woodlands, wetlands and proximity to the Everglades are a haven for an amazing variety of rare and common butterflies. Another local attraction is the Pompano Beach Historical Society Museum. If you fancy a little flutter you can spend an exciting evening at the Seminole Casino Coconut Creek. This is a Native American Casino built on a reservation in Coconut Creek and is open daily 24 hours. The casino is about 30 thousand square feet in area, and has three restaurants.
If you are looking for a quiet evening with a pizza take out you cannot go wrong with Jersey Pizza Kitchen and early bird at Bella Roma Pizzeria & Restaurant. Wednesday and Saturday nights are party time at most of the restaurants and bars of Coconut Creek. The Coconut Creek Grille and Tap House is a warm and friendly place, elegantly furnished with dark woods, plenty of booths, low-hanging lighting and highly polished tables. A large sports bar/pub-type restaurant where the menu includes everything from meat loaf and chicken Marsala to Romanian tenderloin and barbecue ribs, it is worth a visit just for the service.
