Sunrise, Florida
Sunrise is a city in western Broward County that many visitors know for major shopping, sports, and convenient access to the rest of South Florida. Incorporated in 1961 as Sunrise Golf Village, the community later shortened its name to Sunrise and grew from a small suburb into an important residential and commercial center.

About The Community
Today Sunrise covers more than 18 square miles and has a population of over 90,000 residents. The city sits near western Broward conservation lands and is within practical driving distance of Fort Lauderdale’s beaches, downtown Broward destinations, and day trips to Miami and Palm Beach. Its location in the middle of the South Florida tri-county region has helped make Sunrise a hub for business, shopping, dining, and entertainment.

Sunrise is home to Sawgrass Mills, one of the largest outlet and value-retail destinations in the United States and the largest of its kind in Florida. The mall features hundreds of stores, restaurants, and entertainment options, while The Colonnade Outlets at Sawgrass Mills adds an open-air promenade with additional dining and upscale brands. Hours, events, and individual store availability may vary by date.
